Knitting ER:
If you ever need help with a project , we are more than willing to give you the attention needed as long as we aren't busy with customers or store "business"...  Sometimes all it takes is a quick "look-see" and we can get you back on track. However, something that may take more than 5 minutes may warrant an appointment.  Call the store to check with us...

New Class Offerings (revised 5/9/08)

Call at the store (861-0038) to get more info or to sign up.  A deposit is required to hold your spot for the class.  Most classes require a minimum of 3 students.  If we do not have enough students sign up, we will refund your class fee or reschedule the class.   In the event of class cancellation by The Spinning Room (due to snow or tsunami, etc.)  your fee will be refunded.  Some classes require a bit of "homework" beforehand.  More details will be given upon registration.  As always, you enjoy a 10% discount on materials for all classes.

Knitted, Felted Clogs

Friday, May 2 and Thursday, May 15
6:30-8:30 pm
Liz Cassidy, instructor  $30 fee

You’re going to LOVE these clogs/slippers!  Knit them on size 13 needles (fast!) and throw them in the washer to felt.  The sole is knit in such a way that it’s nice and thick and you’ll use some neat techniques to form the shapes, including increasing/decreasing, short-rowing and more.  Sizes range from ladies’ small to men’s large.  Uses 500-720 yds. WW yarn, depending on size chosen, and
two circular needles, size 13x16” and 13x24”.  Come see our unfelted and felted models in the store.

Knitted, Felted Clogs (again!)
Thursday, June 12 & 19
6:30-8:30 pm
Liz Cassidy, instructor  $30 fee

We added an additional session for this popular class.  Sign up soon as space is limited.

Market Bag for the Intermediate Knitter

Sat., May 17, 9:30-11:00 am

Robin Barbera, instructor  $15 fee

Materials:   1 skein WW yarn, 8-10 plastic bags, size 17-19 x24” circular needles (we have them!)

Done with a circular knitting technique, make a spunky little market bag that you’ll use for that quick trip to the store.  What a fast and useful project while you learn to knit!  You’ll want to make more, we are sure!

Grab a coffee next door and come knit with Robin.  We’ll use the Rope Machine to make bag handles that you’ll love!

2 Socks on 1 Circular Needle….at the same time!
   Thursday, May 22 & June 5,
6:30-8:30 pm    $30 fee
Deb Guard, instructor

Get a pair of socks finished at once with this imaginative technique.  Deb has her own version of “the magic loop” that she will guide you through and you may never go back to DPN’s again!  And no one will be asking, “Where’s the other sock?”  Students should have made a sock before and feel comfortable with basic sock construction.   Requires 2 balls of Fixation, one 40" or 47” (Deb prefers 47") sz. 4, 5 or 6 (to get gauge) needle (Addi Turbo’s are highly recommended for their relaxed cord and smooth join).

$40 fee (includes pattern)
